Queen Elizabeth National Park
According to Andrew Roberts Queen Elizabeth National Park is regarded as “Uganda’s great rift valley”. Queen Elizabeth National Park is next to Murchison Falls National Park in size it’s the second biggest National park covering an area of about 1,978 sq. km .  In the West, Queen Elizabeth National Park is bordered by Lake Edward. Rwenzori Mountains borders Queen Elizabeth National Park in the North.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is blessed with fertile equatorial area with a beautiful scenery comprising of grassy plains, tropical forest and volcanic craters. It has Lake george and Lake Edward that are connected by the Kazinga channel that is overlooked by a high peninsula. Queen Elizabeth National Park also consists of beautiful forests, sprawling cacti, rivers, savannah and crater lakes that are filled with large groups of flamingos.
Queen Elizabeth National Park has diversity of wildlife and game and it’s a habitat of about 95 different types of mammals.  Some of these include lions, hippopotamuses, leopards, elephants and chimpanzees. And Maramagambo Forest is part of Queen Elizabeth National Park

Launch/Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

The launch or boat trip begins at either 9.00am in the morning or 14.00am in the afternoon and it goes for 2-5 hours.  This tour takes you on the channel known as Kazinga Channel where you will have an opportunity to see the beautiful scenery, different species of animals and birds. Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge

The border between Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kyambura Wildlife Reserve is formed by Kyambura gorge. Besides that, Kyambura gorge is a home of Chimpanzees and tracking of these chimpanzees can either take place in the morning hours or in the afternoon hours. Maramagambo forest walks
While having a forest walk in maramagambo forest with Able Safaris, you will go through different trails which are the area surrounding Lake Kyasanduka forested shore, then the trail that will take you to the bat cave and python and the other trail is that one that is near the back of Lake Nyamasingiri and through this trail, if lucky you will see the leopard, chimpanzee, scaly-breasted illadopsis, L’Hoest’s monkey, snowy-headed robin-chat, chestnut wattle-eye, forest birds,vervet and red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus.

Bird Watching in Queen Elizabeth National Park
There are over 610 bird species which you will be able to spot while having a boat tour on the kazinga Channel launch and also while on the game drive. Some of these birds include White-Tailed Lark , Martial Eagle, Red- capped Lark African Skimmer, Shoebill , African Mourning dove Buttonquail, Black rumped, Collared Pranticole, Black bee-Eater, Verreaux’s Eagle-Owl, pin-tailed Whydah, Papyrus Gonolek , Brimstone canary,  Swamp Flycatcher, White –winged Warbler , Yellow –backed and lesser masked weavers, temminck’s courser Grey-capped warbler , the beautiful black headed Gonolek , Slender-billed Grey Headed Kingfisher, red Chested sunbird, Gabon and Slender –tailed Nightjars Papyrus canary. Game Viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park
The adventurous game viewing safari will lead to the north side of the Kazinga Channel. Depending on the time of arrival e.g if your flight arrives in the morning, you will go for a city tour. You can visit some of the landmarks in town with the help of our driver/guide. Overnight at either Serena Hotel for luxury accommodation, Fang Fang Hotel for medium accommodation or Forest Cottages for budget accommodation.
